@gterrell : Sorry for my delayed reply as I'm just learning how to navigate the site. I'm grateful for your comment and happy you found value in my time with Walter. I'm also deeply sorry for the loss of your youngest son ... we share a similar wound as my older brother (and only sibling) took his life in December, 2016. My email is dougwheelertherapy@gmail.com if you would like to correspond further and may peace be yours.

Doug, the Jonah story (re)captured me several years ago, when I came across David Benjamin Blower’s little book, “Sympathy for Jonah”, and I keep getting more and more out of it. Music is also very valuable to me as a way of processing life - or death, as the case may be (I lost my youngest son to suicide in November of 2017). Thank you for the the chance to listen in on your thoughts - especially in combination with Walter Brueggemann’s great background of knowledge.
